How to fix whatsaap problems on nokia lumia 520?

I have recently updated my whatsapp on my nokia lumia 520 and it turned blue. Now my whatsapp no longer opens. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times but it has not worked. Help me solve this problem please.
