What phone should I buy, Windows or an Android?

Microsoft recently unveiled their Flagship Smart Phones, Microsoft Lumia 950 and 950XL with pretty impressive features and quite a lot of power… Great screens and cameras… I still don't have a smart phone and I need to buy 1. Most people use android as there is a big diversity and choices as well as the large app base. I don't want to buy an iphone. So I'm struggling between Android and Microsoft…(The new Lumias attracts me)
What should I choose? I've read on the internet that Windows 10 mobile supports Android apps too, so buying a Windows phone won't be a crime will it? Can I have your views on this?
