Won't Airtel 4G work in Lumia 925? (India)?

Someone told me Airtel 4G works on TDD technology, and the Lumia 925 works on FDD technology.
Hence, even with 4G enabled in phone settings, myLumia 925 will not have access to Airtel's 4G network, and will automatically fall back to 3G.
He suggested I upgrade to an iPhone, as it supports all the 4G bands.
Is this true?
