What to do with iPod Touch 4? Help?!

So, I have Lumia and an iTouch 4 that I bring with me everyday. I'm planning to get a great phone so I dont have to bring two devices. Basically, Im just gonna remove my Lumia's battery and keep it in the box and just dont give a **** about it (for who knows how long)… The thing is I'm planning to KEEP MY IPOD UNUSED FOR A VERY VERY VERY LONG TIME TOO. Im quite worried of what might happen to it since its batteries arent removable. Im just gonna turn it off, place it inside its plastic box and store it in the closet or a shoebox.

Bottomline: What will happen to my iPod if I keep it UNUSED, UNTOUCHED & UNCHARGED for lets say 5-10 years? Respect please. Thanks!
