My phone is being an asshole?

So my phone has a bipolar signal strength, which will go up and down even though I payed my bill. Alot of times its still slow and sluggish even though the signal displays 2 or more bars and it constantly just wont load the page. I have a nokia 630 with cricket (the new cricket) and just wondering if its the phone that sucks, or the service. Anyone know? Thanks.
