How to find the date of a picture that you transferred to a phone that you have taken on another phone?

Can you please help me? I have recently gotten a new phone and my photos have gotten transferred to it. The problem is is that the dates of the photos are in May when they should be in March. Some of those dates are very important to me and I'm not sure how to get them back. My new phone is a Samsung Galaxy S4, and my old one is a NOKIA Lumia 521 Windows phone if that will help.
