The Lumia 1020 is boasted as a great camera phone with "41 MP" but I wonder if 41 MP is meaningless since the sensor is so small. Isn't it about the amount of light? What kind of MP are DSLRs? When I look at sample photos taken by the Lumia 1020, they don't look much better than photos taken by other Lumia 1020's, I thought 41 MP makes a huge difference.
Is it because the lens is small? What is that large circle anyway on the case, is that aesthetics or is that functional?
Added (1). Meant to say "… Taken by other Lumia phones" eg. Less than 41 MP
