Is 2017 reminding us of the late 90s/early 2000s?
The music of 2017 seem a bit similar to those of the late 90s/early 2000s. Charlie Puth - "How Long" gives a bit of an early 00s vibe, Harry Styles - 'Sign Of The Times' also gives me 1999-2003 vibe as well as Miley Cyrus - 'Malibu' which definitely gives me the early 00s vibes. The clothing of the year and last year also remind us of the 90s. Chockers with something dangling is something from the 90s that has somehow reappeared this year, which was a big 90s fashion. Those wide leg jeans from the 90s that we never thought we'd see again; I walk down the street and young uni girls are wearing it. I haven't seen anyone with them for ages.
Anyone remember the Motorola Razr and for girls especially the pink ones. The phones that we used to show off in front of our friends? They are back as the Binatone Blade phone. A really big comeback from 2003 and especially the Nokia 3310 that I have recently seen people using.
Remember Hey! Arnold? That 90s cartoon show has come back. Whilst watching the TV with my little nephew, I saw an advertisement for the programme and I was really surprised that it was back. Hey! Arnold was my childhood days and my nephew who is 12, is growing up with it as I did!
Its safe to say that 2017 is reminding us of the of late 90s as well as the early 00's, and the new decade will probably remind us more.
