Can you retrieve photos from a locked nokia microsoft lumia 535?

I changed my password and I forgot it and now I can t access my phone. I don t care for anything on it except the photos. Is there a way to retrieve them, or unlock my phone without a hard reset.

I tried connecting it to my laptop but it won t show any documents when I open it in my computer since the phone is locked.
